Introduction to YOUNGO

The Principle 21 of the Rio Declaration identified nine sectors which includes Children and Youth

1992 – Rio Earth Summit

In 2005, we formally gathered in Montreal ahead of COP11 to make our voices heard as International Youth Climate Movement

2005: Montreal Conference of Parties

2009: Copenhagen Conference of Parties

The UNFCCC secretariat and the member states to the Convention officially recognized youth as an observer constituency of its own
