What do I do if I’m ill or injured for PE?

  1. You must bring a note (emails to your teacher are also ok) from home verifying your situation.
  2. You MUST also bring in your kit, get changed and you will take on a different role. Such as a coach or referee.
  3. In the event that you are unable to get changed yourself in the mornings e.g. broken leg/arm etc then you will still be expected to umpire/referee.

Do we need shin pads for football and a mouthguard for rugby? (PPE)

  1. The wearing of PPE will not guarantee protection from injury. It can though, in many cases, mitigate the severity of injury by reducing a high-risk situation to one of reasonable or acceptable risk.
  2. Parents are strongly advised to make sure their child has these. They are available to purchase from the PE shop. The PE teacher will notify you when these need to be worn.
