HearMe is a text-to-speech (TTS) app designed for people who are speech impaired, for example due to Autism, Stroke, Cerebral Palsy or other speech problems.
With the app you can express your thoughts through text and they're translated to voice and opposite.
Why Build This Project?
Having come across a mute person on the 4th of October 2021, I discovered a problem that wasn’t being addressed.
Only a small percentage of people in the world can understand sign language. A conversation with someone mute is really hard especially when you don’t understand sign Language.
I decided to build a progressive web app that’s accessible on every device. This PWA will enable people with speech problems to have conversations easily with people who don’t understand sign language.
A PWA is an application that’s based on the web. Its more like a website you can install on your gadget. This saves your storage and it's easy to access. Install the app via a pop up on the website.
Less Storage || Offline - No Data || Faster than Native Apps
