A Prayer For Our School Year

Lord, thank you for the unique gifts of every child as they transition into a new school year.

Fill each student with fresh enthusiasm and a heart that is excited to learn and grow.

Cover them with your enduring love, give them confidence and grace.

May your Holy Spirit help them to grow in faith, hope, and love.

Bless all of our students, parents, and teachers as we begin this school year.

Amen.

If you need to keep the test folder for a longer period of time, please send in a written note or email.

Homework/Participation

Home assignments for Honors Math class will be taken from the workbook, website, web links on Google classroom and should be completed independently. Except for the workbook, all assignments are to be completed in the HW section of the math copybook. We will review HW orally and/or on the smartboard the next day in math class. I will periodically collect or check students work in their copybooks/workbooks.

All home assignments will be posted on Google classroom and on the Math Announcements Google Doc link. Students are expected to use the Announcement pages daily. Students should be spending at least 20 minutes daily on math written assignments, notes review, and on suggested websites/apps.

Conferences— Wed. Oct. 22nd day, Mon.Oct. 27th- evening

It is important to have ongoing communication between teacher and parent in the Honors Math program.

Please refer to all future correspondence/emails in regards to conferences. This is especially important for 8th graders, 4th graders and any new family to the program.

***Teacher advisors may be assigned to all 7th/8th graders.

Parents may be contacted for spring/summer conferences in May/June/July to review any necessary criteria for Honors Math if needed.

I am flexible throughout the year for conferences some mornings before school and in the afternoon between 1:00-2:30pm. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any questions or concerns you may have this year.
