Brief Introduction to Shoe insoles

3 of 6

  • Long walking can lead to following adverse conditions -Discomfort to patients, Ulcers to foot, Pain
  • Reasons- Mismatch of foot and insole profile, Uneven Stress Distribution, Improper air flow due to solid and rigid shape of the current insoles
  • Available solution in Indian market- Prefabricates Insoles like PU Foam based Insoles,Rubber based Insoles, Polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (Pe) Insoles etc.

  • Insoles with the porous structures can enhance the stress distribution and has been reported in the literature (Ma, Lin et al. 2019).
  • Porous structures can reduce the elastic modulus and promotes proper air flow.
  • Need very less time to deliver the products.
  • With the advanced in FDM technology complex porous structures such as Gyroid and diamond structures can be manufactured.
