Queen's University philosophy Professor Michael Allen warned that the device will: "encourage amateurs to operate invasively on living organisms" and "encourage thinking of complex living organisms as mere machines or tools".

Is an FBI agent a DIYbiologist as any other

Analyse the FBI-outreach program - and the reactions in the diybio environment - and place it in context of STS.

What happened since 2012?

Did it change practice? . do we practically talk about it in the lab?!? NO!

Dit it help in terms of framing the issue with media?

    • De her scenarier ender altid i frygt og lov - over menneskelige dommere !

Cockroach ethics: nature / pain http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24455141

  • Harmed in the process - but learning science and science methods? or just play
  • compare to burn ants - no purpose
  • device will "encourage amateurs to operate invasively on living organisms" and "encourage thinking of complex living organisms as mere machines or tools”
  • We used rain worms in our “study” - serious it’s living.
  • OK? it’s always to be judges in the situation - first time you need to do to learn, the ethics develops, and is definetely learned when inbodied, and it created a small discussion.

Synthetic Biology:

  • GMO?? forskel, Kritik - gøre det mere teknisk end nødvendigt ?
  • Controlling the nature - important for grants good for communication
  • DEEXTINCTION CONF.
    • rockstar science, gennemskue clear message - both sides.
Atom. Nanno. GMO. Syntese biologi
    • Vi kan løse det hele!. Men folk dør stadig af kræft.
    • Teknologifrelse

Biostrike - vs medical business

  • Technically BLS2 lab.
  • understanding, nyances should be clear, learning, trying understanding.

This is what we do and think:

  • Code of ethics.
  • Cathal mail.

GMO animals

  • how hackers persieve ethical problems

FBI...NSA

  • Security or surveilance.
