Here is my story. In 2018, it was my first time to go to a foreign alone, and I can't cook at all because my mother does all the cooking at home. Besides, I didn't know where to buy Chinese food at that time (panda is Fake Chinese food). Also, I didn't know how to cook, so I ate fruit biscuits every day for two weeks until I met my best friends. However, it was impossible to buy Chinese food every day because it’s really expensive, so I started to learn cooking. In the beginning, I could only cook some easy food like adding some oil and adding salts or cook the food well and add some soy sauce. It was not delicious, and it was only filling.

In 2019, I had a boyfriend, and we are both very particular about eating, so we work together to figure out how to cook the food we like to eat. We watched a video on Youtube and google the recipes that the food needed, then go to the supermarket and buy all ingredients. After months of cooking, we learned to make braised chicken wings, curry chicken wings, fried steak, and so on. I put on ten kilos by being able to eat what I want every day.

In 2020, due to Covid-19, we have to cook at home almost every day to avoid infection. To avoid eating greasy food, we learned to make a variety of food, also learned to make cakes such as the Shredded meat cake on the left of Slide 7, and the cod pie in the middle.
