Signing In

Students:

Sign in using the Sign In with Google button and your GCMS email address.

Parents:

Sign in with the Email or Phone number where we sent your Activation message. The single sign in buttons are an option if using a Gmail or Microsoft account. Contact willis.walker@gcmsk12.org If you need your activation message resent.

Manage Account Settings

  1. In the app, select the three horizontal bars at the top of your screen to access the Menu.
  2. Select Account on the left to access options to manage your account.

Manage Account Settings - Notifications Preferences

  • In the app, select Account and then Notifications.
  • Use the slider to turn on/off for each communication method (email, text or app). If turned on, select whether you prefer the instant or digest notification.
  • The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real-time.
  • The Digest setting sends direct messages, alerts, and time-sensitive posts instantly, but sends all non-time sensitive posts at the end of the day, reducing the number of notifications you receive daily.

Main Navigation Menu

In the app, use the bottom options to navigate through Posts, Messages, Alerts and Notices, and other content shared at your school.

Find Your Groups and Classes

  • Tap the Menu on the top-left of the app screen.
  • Select Groups or Classes and then tap on a group to view its content.

Join or Leave Groups

  • On the Home screen, tap More on the bottom of the app.
  • Tap Groups.
  • For public Groups, you can click on a name to view the Group page.
  • Click Join to join the Group and receive notifications from it.
  • Click Leave to remove yourself from the Group and to stop receiving notifications.

*Groups must be set as public by the group owner to show up in the list of groups you can join. Contact your coach or group leader to join a private group.

Interacting With Posts

Icons are shown at the bottom to indicate interactive elements. An RSVP displays the date of the event.

You can locate a full list of Sign Ups, RSVPs, Forms/Permissions, Polls and interactive elements from Posts by tapping the More button at the bottom of the screen.

Respond to an RSVP

  • Tap the Post or RSVP icon on the Post preview.
  • Tap RSVP.
  • Choose Yes or No. If required, select the total number of attendees for Yes, I will attend.
  • You can add an optional short note and then tap Save.

Fill out a Form

  • Tap the Post to view the content.
  • Tap Forms.
  • Fill out the form and then tap Submit.

*The majority of forms (Athletic forms, permission slips, etc) will need to be filled out by a parent

Respond to a Volunteer request or Wishlist

  • Tap the Post to view the content.
  • Tap Wish List, Volunteer, or Sign Up.
  • Tap on each item or sign up area to enter the number of items or attendees and then tap Save.

View Calendar Events

  • Tap Events on the bottom of the app screen.
  • Tap the Menu in the top left to view Events for specific Classes or Groups. Select your School to see all events from all groups and classes you are connected to at that school on the same screen.

View Calendar Events

  • Tap any day on the Calendar to see all events for that day.
  • Tap an individual event for full details for that event
  • Events can be added to your device’s default calendar (Google Calendar, iCal, etc)

View Direct Messages

  • Tap Messages on the bottom of the app screen.
  • Select a Message to view contents.

Send a new Direct Message

  • Tap Messages on the bottom of the app screen.
  • Tap the New Message icon on the top-right of the screen.
    • (Look for a + sign near the bottom on Android)
  • Use the + icon to open your Quick Recipients list and select from the list.
  • You can also type at least 3 characters in the name field and then tap the Search button on your keyboard to search for them.
  • Adding more than two recipients allows you to select if the conversation thread is private or a group message. Private will send each person an individual thread they can reply to. Group will send 1 thread to everyone to see and reply to each other.
  • After composing your message and/or attaching files and videos, tap Send.
