Rama : You’re right. Several people believe that a smartphone may keep people away.

Rama : So do I. I’d like to point out that I’m here not only to study but also to develop my social relationship. I want to have lots of friends by joining this course. By the way, why don’t you ask them to stop playing with their phones?

Procedural Text

You have just taken a photo of yourself or popularly called a selfie. Unfortunately, you are not satisfied with the result because your skin’s color looks redder. You don’t need to worry. You can fix it using the photoshop program. In this case, you have to remove the color cast. Here are the steps.

First, open your photo using the photoshop program. Then, use the auto color correction. You can find it from Menu: Image > Adjustments > Auto Color. It provides a handy one-click correction of many color cast problems. If the results are not what you expect, undo the action by immediately selecting the Edit > Undo Auto Color option.

To remove the color casts, you can also operate the color balance. You can find it from Menu: Image > Adjustments > Color Balance. Before doing this operation, you’d better know what skin’s color you need to get. After that, remove the color cast. Just use sliders in the Color Balance feature to remove a cast by adding in the opposite color to the image. For example, with an image with a red cast you will need to move the Cyan/Red slider to the Cyan end of the control. Look at the figure on the left.

Beside that, Color Balance has the option to localize the changes to a specic set of tones—Shadows, Midtones or Highlights.

How to Plant Sunflower Seeds

Vibrant and beautiful, sunflowers come in all shapes and sizes, and can even be grown inside. Before you start, it is a good idea to think about the room you have and then go for the variety that best suits you. Several sunflowers can stretch to more than 3 m tall, but the smaller ones can be under 1 m.

You will need:

– sunflower seeds – garden fork – garden compost or fertilizer

– water – sturdy canes – string

Follow these instructions:

  1. Find a suitable container and place it in a sunny spot. The bigger pot is better to chance your flower be giant. Add compost or fertilizer into the soil and plant the seeds. Cover the seeds and press down firmly.

  1. Sunflowers love water, so make sure the soil is always moist. Watch the plant as it grows. The stem and leaves will appear after a few weeks, with the flower forming a few more weeks after that.
  2. As the plant grows, you may need to secure it with a cane and several string to keep it upright. The flower heads can get quite heavy and the wind can blow over an unsecured plant.
  3. When the flowering period is over, cut the flower about 10 cm with stalk attached and hang it up to dry in a well-ventilated area. When it is completely dry, the seeds will pop out easily. You can eat these as a healthy snack or feed them to birds, but have several seeds to plant.
