MLA Formatting
Before you start think about these questions
Who
You will need to apply MLA format to all your essays. I would say it is the one thing I am picky about. It is easy I promise. It is a bit like a math formula. You just apply the formula.
What is MLA?
MLA stands for Modern Language Association which promulgates guidelines for preparing student research papers and projects and scholarly manuscripts in the humanities. “MLA style” refers to a system of citing research sources.
What does that mean
MLA is a format that you use to set up your paper. there is a specific heading, centering and title placement. It also specifies how you cite information. We will cover citing information in the coming weeks.
Why!
You are probably thinking why! I just want to write. However, using MLA or APA makes it easier for all of us to share information. If everyone follows a format then we can all use each other's research. I have a cat named Saru. In this manner, using the same format, there is consistency of style within a given field.
