LEP Activities 2024

• New Sub Working Group structure agreed and implemented
• People, Skills and Employability Challenge Fund launched October 23 with commitment to projects delivering in 24/25
• Commitment to move to a three-legged funding approach moving into 25/26 which will include a strong core provision, commissioning, and an innovative Challenge Fund to allow for smaller organisations to bid in for pilot projects.
• Exploring other funding streams to help match fund and support a wider network of holistic Employability Provision
• Using data to evidence and support service design to create a more localised approach to employability needs.

Sub Working Groups

• LEP Sub Working Groups are open and flexible to all
• Monthly meetings
• Operational input to the strategic LEP
• An opportunity for delivery partners and service users to be involved in the service design

Funding Update

• 25% of the full NOLB funding was released in May 24 which led to concerns regarding the continuation of the current employability provision for 24/25
• Great news received last week (June 24) that the remaining 75% has been confirmed by SG.
• Total allocation for Perth & Kinross is £1.843million
• NOLB all age £928,841.03, Child Poverty £914,158.97, GRG Child Poverty Employability Coordinator £72k (ringfenced)

People, Skills and Employability Challenge Fund

• 20 projects currently being supported with 10 through NOLB and 10 through Child Poverty.
• Full list of projects and activities being funded will be shared following meeting.

LEP Workshop – Service Design

A workshop to look at the plan for Employability Provision 25/26 is due to take place on Monday 19^th August 9:30-3pm – Venue tbc
