LMS English/Language Arts Takeaways
We saw small improvements in Grades 5 and 6
We were not able to improve in grades 7 and 8
We recognize the need to implement a tight focus on standards and NJSLA performance
LMS English/Language Arts Key Responses
Implementing a single core instructional model focusing on small group instruction (“Instructional Workshop”)
Increasing rigor of benchmark assessments and weekly practice
Higher and more standardized expectations for using assessment data to inform instruction
ELA
Benchmark Data
Lindenwold Middle School
Benchmarks are given each marking period (MP) all subjects
They are designed to look just like the NJSLA in tested areas
Good indicator for NJSLA future success
We are seeing some growth in ELA on key standards from last year to this year
We attribute this to our strategic plan instructional focuses and more rigorous formative assessment expectations

NJSLA Data
Lindenwold Middle School
Science NJSLA given in 5th, 8th, and 11th grades
Very rigorous test aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
NGSS are very skills-driven, as opposed to acquiring facts and content
Science
The vast majority of our students are at Level 1 or 2
This 22-23 science data was provided to show our starting point. Linkit is still processing the 23-24 science data.
