Ontario Secondary School Diploma
1) 30 Required Courses.
*18 Compulsory and 12 Elective Credits.
2) 40 Hours of Community Service.
3) Successful completion of the OSSLT.
OSSLT (Literacy Test)
The successful completion of the OSSLT is mandatory for graduation from an Ontario Secondary School.
The test is traditionally completed in 2nd semester Grade 10.
Students in Grade 10 will receive in-class prep for the test.

Importance of Grade 11 Courses!
The elective courses you choose in Grade 11 can/will determine which courses you can take in Grade 12.
For example, you must take SPH3U in order to take SPH4U.
Your Grade 12 courses determine eligibility for post-secondary programs (see links on next slide)

*French Immersion Certificate: Completion of 10 credits in French Immersion
*Extended French Certificate: Complete 7 credits in French Immersion
