HELLO,

I’M ANOUK!

...this is your cheat sheet to me...

Reputation for excellence through collaboration - I love working with other people. It brings me life and joy to be known to create truly extraordinary things with others. (I don’t believe your best work is ever done alone + I believe that you can’t keep excellence quiet)

Delivering impact by focusing on being useful - I like asking ‘so what’ - it is important to me that all actions are as impactful as possible. Usefulness is a highly underrated word. Everything else is a waste of time.

Learning in action - time is precious + I like to make the most of it. Being productive + getting things done feels good. I have a strong inaction radar! Action and learning from what I do is the best way for me to learn.

Equity, fairness and justice being top of mind, always - I like to think that I treat people fairly. That doesn’t mean the same all the time. It means, given their circumstances what is right for them and considering how it impacts others. I discriminate heavily against discrimination!

Just be kind - I believe in doing good. For anything + anyone. This is an important way for me to live + I expect those around me to always have positive intentions + behaviour too. For this reason I trust, early.

MY VALUES

OTHER THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME

I’m simple.

I like things to be kept simple + complexity free. This is the case when it comes to writing + conversation. Say what you mean + get to the point. Make a point. Big words don’t impressive me (I need to google them). Plus I can’t spell them :)

Ownership.

I love people who own their behaviour, their attitude, their competence + what they do or don’t do. Don’t blame. Don’t be a victim! I often ask ‘so what’, ‘what’s your next step’, ‘what do you think you should do’. They matter to me.

Let’s talk. Face to face.

I love having discussions with people. Just be mindful that sometimes my written comms can come across abrasively as I like to just get to the point - and because you can’t see the love in my eyes all the other stuff you’d see from being in front of me is missing.

I care about reputation, A FUCKING LOT.

At this stage of our business - it is all about reputation. Possibly at every stage. With clients, with candidates, with our network, with the general public. I want them to know that we are exceptional, that we are seriously a-typical + that we add a huge amount of value. Reputation is king; it drives our business + it drives me to always be better… every day.

I LOVE generating + collaborating on super cool ideas.

If there is a whiteboard in the room you will see me with a marker in my hand. The more that we can create, and differentiate ourselves the more excited I get. Creation makes me feel very warm on the inside. That said, it does mean that I love shiny new things. I’m great at starting things but closing them out requires more of a detail focus skill which is less mine…

Everything else, I take very un-seriously.

I love fun. I love laughing until I’m in pain. Life happens. Roll with it!

OTHER THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME

7 of 10

The two most important things in my life are my clan (my kids + partner) + our company (team + clients + reputation)

I am working on making myself a priority too. But I find this hard as a single mum. (I know… all the more reason to prioritise me + that works great in theory.)

Generally my schedule sees me:

🥱up early + doing some work from bed, 👩sorting Rosie out (thank-goodness J is old enough to sort himself out) and getting her to school.💻I then work + try to get a walk in, 🍽sort dinner out,and then one or both of them have things on.😴I try to get to bed early.

Sleep (+ exercise) are definitely things I’m trying to work on.

I like holidays. It’s my main way of having a break. If I stay in the UK, I normally don’t really ‘break’.

MY TIME +

MY SCHEDULE

MORE ABOUT MY WORK STYLE

1.

I am a morning person so am most productive before lunch.

Unless it is for collaboration + doing stuff together, please don’t schedule things in the morning - unless it involves breakfast.

Not to be annoying, but I also prefer that you don’t schedule things after 4pm either.

2.

I am very all or nothing - my excitement runs deeply + extreme. And then I dry up.

Generating ideas and collaborating on really cool stuff is REALLY exciting to me. I will get frustrated if we don’t get it executed too. Talk without action is a bug bear. I am working on my patience.

The flip side is true too - if I’ve said I’ll do something, I’ll do it. Leave me to it.

3.

I take life as it comes. I ride the waves. I am exceptionally rarely stressed.

Not being able to do what I say I will do, even if there is VERY good reason, stresses me out. Others not keeping their commitments - to me or our clients - stresses me out. [Taking life as it comes has been really tested for me in the last year have having my values tested personally has really taken a toll]

I often leave things to the last minute - please call me out on this if some of your work is dependent on me not being last minute.

This also means that I don’t need structure to operate. If you do, tell me.

4.

I work well under pressure.

5.

I am not a perfectionist but I do like things to look good. (I can’t read content unless it is branded right)

Quality of content is the most important thing. But, for it to be engaging, it has to look good too.

I will tweak your work. Don’t mind me. It is just what I do. And believe me when I say that it isn’t because it isn’t good. I’d have told you if that were the case.

MOTTOS + METAPHORS

(I love them)

“Excellence is hard to keep quiet” - Unleashed has lived by this as a business

“You can’t stop the waves but you can learn to surf” - sometimes just go with it even if it doesn’t quite feel right at first. Relax and see where it takes you

“You’ll miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take” - give it a go! Grab the bull with both horns. Don’t be risk averse. No one got anywhere by being cautious

“An incredible beginning can often be disguised as a horrible ending” - it will get better. Things are always better in the end

“Forget pace. It’s all about velocity if you want to get their fast!” (Pace = fast; Velocity = fast in one direction)
