Importance of diversity and inclusion in the WordPress community.

Diversity is engaging people with different viewpoints and lived experiences.

Equity is making sure everyone has what they need to get a fair chance of success, which is different from equality.

Inclusion is making sure that the environment is built to not simply tolerate diverse groups but to celebrate them as well.

More diversity means a better chance of bringing in contributors who are straddling several roles and thus creating unique things with unique perspectives.

Supportive Environment

The WordPress community is a diverse, respectful, and beautiful place where everyone is welcome. However, there is always room for improvement, particularly in encouraging more women and other minority groups to participate in the WordPress community and business.

People get encouraged to share their thoughts, ideas, and feedback.
