Next Orientation Session for Partners Interested in learning more about becoming a Local School Council Trainer is on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 6:00pm.

You are encouraged to attend the meeting to ensure that potential trainers understand the process for training opportunities for LSCs across the City of Chicago.

​

ALL Modules MUST be completed by Fri June 2nd- 11:59pm

​

REQUIRED Workshops: June 6th (Tues) and June 8th (Thrs)

• The 2023-2024 Honorary Student Board Member Application is Now Available

Applications are being accepted through April 28, 2023. For additional information on the application and eligibility requirements, please visit cpsboe.org.

• Capital Meetings (Virtual): Chicago Public Schools (CPS) will host five virtual meetings this week to engage communities on capital priorities as the District works to develop its Fiscal Year 2024 Capital Plan. The capital plan is a part of the District’s overall budget that will be presented to the Board of Education later this summer.
• Participants for any of the meetings listed below should register here or tune in to the live-stream on CPS’ YouTube Channel.

Final LSC Member Updates/Reminders

• Governors Disaster Declaration will end on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Therefore on May 12, 2023, ALL LSC meetings (including LSCAB) MUST return to in-person.
• LSCAB Meeting Location: 2651 West Washington Blvd. - Next Meeting Mon-5/15
• Continue to fill vacancies - add as a standing agenda item
• Encourage students to run as student representatives for SY 23-24
• Vote for a LSCAB member
• Complete Mandated Trainings
• Complete Background Checks - Required for all NON-CPS members
• Staff/Students Members (NOT required)
