What you need to do!

You are to research Core Technologies and Simple Machines. Complete each slide including the following information:

  • Define all topics as it would relate to your Rube Goldberg Project!
  • Include a graphic per topic!
  • How is each topic going to impact your Rube Goldberg Project?
  • Several ways (2+) you can incorporate this topic into your project!

** Guess what, GREAT NEWS, the first one is done for you to show you an example.

Fluid Technology:

  • Fluid technology is used everywhere, for example in elevators and heavy equipment. It uses a gas or liquid to move piston up or down which can change the direction of an object. The log splitter below is a good example of fluid technology. With a small engine and a piston, you can split any log.

  • For my Rube Goldberg machine, I could use a syringe to move a part of my machine. Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYGpYVkZ-Ss
    • It could be used to activate a part of my machine.
    • It could be used to pull something up or move it down
