  • Population growing faster than US average = domestic & international in-migration

  • Extreme geographic economic segregation
  • Low wage warehousing & distribution jobs
  • Many jobs not accessible by transit
    • Highway focused transportation investments
    • Under-resourced transit system
  • 30% of people in the central county live below 200% of the federal poverty level
