• A friend gave me some very nice black walnut on the condition I make her a charcuterie (shar . koo’ . ter . ee) board with one of the pieces.   She and her husband cut down a few trees when they built their house ten years ago,  they had it milled and its been in their attic since.  �
• She gave me the handles, I would have preferred to make them from wood.
