This is a list of the beginnings of different English proverbs.

Supply what you think the correct ending of the proverb is.

Think of a funny ending that still has the proverb make sense.

This exercise was given to a class of 5 year old children. I will supply the endings they said, and you need to decide if their ending is better than yours

Class is divided into at least two teams

The object of the game is to get a continuous line from one side to the other.

One team starts and can choose any number.

Move the cursor over the numbered hexagon near the top and it will change into a hand. Left click and this will take you to the question.

If the team cannot answer the question correctly it should be given to the other side – if they are successful they win the shape.

The game carries on with each team selecting a different number, trying not only to get a direct path to where they are going, but also blocking their opponents.

The winner is the first team to make a continuous line from one edge to the other.

The game can continue with the same board and questions only this time, which team can reach 13 correct answers first.

Rules:

This can be played like regular Blockbusters by making a single line or winning the most hexagons.

The team picks a number and gives the two answers required by the question. The scorer only shows the answer button if BOTH answers are correct.

If one or both answers are wrong, the questions are given to the other team. The scorer will not say if one or both of the answers are wrong.

The other team must try and find both answers. If they get it wrong, it goes back to the first team and they try again. This can alternate between teams several times until one of them comes up with the correct solution.

One team starts and can choose any number.
