Hi! I am Jean Claude Byungura

  • Currently doing a PhD in Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University, DSV.
  • My research focuses on IT-Alignment with Higher Education Institutions
  • I’m also a Lecturer at University of Rwanda
  • Teaching in Modules such as Multimedia Technology, Database Technology, Management Information Systems
  • New in ONL, but previously completed other IT related pedagogical courses under my PhD

Hi! I am Nele HIRSCH

  • Working in eBildungslabor, Germany.
  • Developing trainings for Teachers in school, university and beyond for learning how to teach in the digital age.
  • First time in ONL. At the same time, I’m enrolled in the OntarioExtend Online Course.

  • Personal notes: two children (9 and 5 years old), I’m living with them and my husband in a small village near Berlin.

Hello! I am Dazzelyn ZAPATA

  • I am a lecturer at the National University of Singapore teaching undergraduate modules at the Department of Communications and New Media.

  • I am a newbie in ONL. I teach two flipped classes or iBLOCs (internal Blended Learning Online Courses) and very much eager to be in an online class as a student to learn more insights about how such classes are conducted.

  • Personal note: I am originally from one of the 7,107 islands of The Philippines but now based in Singapore since 2010. I have a 3 year old daughter who keeps me busy. I love food, diving, travel, and spacing out.

Hi! I am Rosanne Jackson

  • My name is Rosanne Jackson. I am currently an Educational Technologist at the IIE Varsity College in Westville, a quiet suburb of Durban in South Africa. I have been working as an Ed Tech since early January this year. I support lecturers in the adoption of our Blackboard LMS to enhance teaching and learning in a blended learning design.

  • Prior to being an Ed Tech I was an instructional designer for a company that create E-Learning and simulators for mining and military vehicles.

  • I was also an Academic Development Officer at UKZN for 8 years where I counseled students, advised staff and ran the Supplemental Instruction programme.

  • On a personal note: I have been married for 10 years and have 3 rabbits. I love reading and hanging out with friends over a good glass of wine.

Hi! I’m Lina Nilsson

  • I work as a lecturer in Public Health at Mälardalen University. Primary in the nurse-program.
  • I attended the ONL181 and for this interaction I’m joining as a co-facilitator.
  • Personal note: I live in Västerås, Sweden, with my husband and 2 daughters (7 and 2,5 years old) and 2 cats. We live in the countryside with cows and chickens just round the corner:). I’m an amateur-potter and would love to visit Island someday:)

Hello! I am Fazilat Siddiq

  • I am an associate professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway, Department of Education and Quality in Learning, USN eDU.
  • My research is concerned with students’ digital competence, and teacher and teacher educators’ TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge).
  • I will from next semester start teaching a course on pedagogy in digital environments directed to educators at the university.
  • I am really looking forward to the ONL-course, and experience being an online student.

  • Personal notes: I am married and live in Oslo. I have an 11 year old son and a 6 month old daughter. I love hiking, outdoor activities, knitting, research and food!

  • Personal notes: Born in Malaysia, living in Singapore for the past three decades. A foodie who enjoys tennis, gym, painting, playing piano and chorale singing.

Hi! I am Marcus Bjelkemyr

  • Head of division of Information Design at Mälardalen University.
  • Wrote my PhD on methods for design of very large engineering systems. Has since then worked on recycling in manufacturing and blended learning.
  • Worked in a Blended Learning project when developing our master program in Innovation and Design.
  • Personal notes: Married and three kids. It could be a result of my recent vacation, but I really like snorkeling, food, and woodworking.

Hi! I am Niklas Brinkfeldt

  • Director of Next Generation Learning Centre at Dalarna University
  • Used to be responsible for Support of E-learning at Umeå University
  • Vice president for The Swedish network for IT in Higher Education (ITHU)
  • Personal notes: Married and i just had my fourth child, so I’ll be on a paternity leave for the first weeks. Stil live in Umeå, and travel weekly to Falun and Borlänge in Dalarna.
