Let's say the librarian and faculty member are able to schedule a time for a one-shot session. LTI integration can be used to further enhance the student experience.

This is a screenshot of the learner report for a library that has embedded some of their tutorials in a course through the use of LTI integration. Typically, completion data and scores would be locked behind the class instructor's view. But Niche Academy brings that library-provided material's data back to the library. In this case, a student completed this tutorial before the librarian's one-shot session with the class. A sidenote: Niche Academy provides a suite a tutorials that range from database introductions to research essentials, this tutorial—Research Essentials – Common Sources and Search Tools—being one of them. **Click** This librarian took the tutorial we provided and added some knowledge checks; customizing it to the class needs.

Our widgets embedded in the library's website get tutorials to students right when they have a question. The most common question is "I've been told I have to use this database, but I don't know what it is or how to use it?" The second most common is "This looks interesting. Is it for me?" Widgets help answer these questions immediately. And we found that libraries who fully implemented widgets saw eresource use increase 71%**.

This is the AtoZ database page for the Gateway Community and Technical College. They have three kinds of widgets that they use in three different ways. The carousel widget cycles through the tutorials they want to see more usage for.

The sidebar opens directly to the most asked question the library receives about login errors.

This histogram shows the monthly usage of a library that implemented in May 2023. This trend shows how important the library is as more students become aware of what's available. A few of the library staff may have pointed students to the resources, but it's not completely driven by the staff. We like to give a rough analogy: one view is one question answered. Not necessarily research questions, but something that would require a staff member's time and attention. This library answered 4,050 questions in the past year, with a trend upward. Students are turning toward the library for help and the library is making an impact. These stats support student retention; these 4,050 questions could have been asked during library hours or during a one-shot, but they didn't have to be. If a student knows they can find a tutorial in support of their learning journey, they're more likely to stick with their program.

We know librarians and information professionals are more necessary now than ever, but budgets are being cut, so this is a way we can show librarian impact concretely.
