How Many Credits Can I Earn in 4 Years?
Let’s do some math!
Typically, students take 6 classes each year of high school, so...
6 classes x
5 credits per semester = 30
30 Credits x
2 semesters = 60
60 credits x
4 years of high school = 240
Which leaves you with a 10 credit cushion!

College Acceptance:
Grade Point Average (GPA)
This is an average of students grades on a 4 point scale.
AP Classes and some Honors classes get a “bump” of one extra point/letter. For example, an A = 5 points, B = 4 points, C = 3 points (D and F do not get a bump).

Example:
GPA = (2 + 4 + 3 + 4) / 4 = 13/4 = 3.25
