Letterland
Unit 2: Closed and Open syllables: e, o
This week students will learn about more open and closed syllables: a, i and u.

When practicing Letterland with your child, please focus on practicing the skill, not memorizing the words. All words on each list will follow the weekly pattern. Have your student read and re-read his/her spelling list for fluency.
EL
This week students will be listening to fictional stories as we explore the question “What is school and why is school important. Students will be asking and answering who, what, when, where and why questions as we read.
Math
We will continue to work on using a variety of strategies to add and subtract within 20.
Social Studies
Students will understand how values and beliefs shape culture in America.
