Henry Moseley I have to defend my country. This World War I has gone insane. Hope I don’t die today lol

Antonius

Isaac Asimov Hey dude, we gotta get ready for war. I’ll see you in a couple weeks.

July 31, 1915

Henry Moseley OMG! I finally did it! Using the power of X-Ray Spectrums, I created the atomic number, so now the Periodic Table is waaaaay easier to read. Thank you based spectrums.

1913

Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev If you can figure out how to make the Periodic Table easier to read, I’ll let you replace the whole thing.

1912

Ernest Rutherford Just agreed to let Henry Moseley work in my lab at the University of Manchester. Hope everything works out well.

1910

Henry Moseley Just learned about X-Ray Spectrums at Eton College. Makes me wonder what I could do with it...

Me in the lab! Love science :)

University! Lookin good, feelin good.

I liked the cropped pic better haha :)

My professor Ernest. He’s taught me so much already (I think I’m his favorite student)

Me in my soldier’s uniform. I’ll do anything to protect my country.

  • Henry Moseley. (2014, July 10). Retrieved October 9, 2014, from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Moseley

Important Moments:

  • November 23, 1887, Henry Moseley was born in Weymouth, Dorset.
  • 1912, Moseley found that high energy potentials were attainable from a radioactive source of radium, thereby inventing the first atomic battery
  • In 1913, Moseley discovered the atomic number using X-Ray spectrums, simplifying Mendeleev’s original Periodic Table.
  • Moseley showed that there were gaps in the atomic number sequence at numbers 43, 61, 72, and 75. These spaces are now known to be the places of the radioactive elements Technetium. Promethium, Hafnium, and Rhenium.
    • He predicted Hafnium and Rhenium.
  • Moseley was called to fight in World War I and died in August 10, 1915.
