Fun Facts About Frida Kahlo

In 2010, the Bank of Mexico printed the 500 Pesos bill with her 1940 self-portrait on one side. It also included her 1949 painting titled The Love Embrace of the Universe, the Earth, Myself, Diego and Senor Xolotl. (Her husband, and famous painter, Diego Rivera was on the other side of the bill.

She was born and died in the same house. That house is now a museum!

She was an athlete. She competed in swimming, boxing, and wrestling. She was a member of the Mexican national soccer team.

She spoke Spanish, English, French, German, and Italian.
