Advisory Board Purpose

Purpose – engage stakeholders, provide feedback and suggestions about the concurrent enrollment program.

Board duties:

  1. Provide advice and input related to concurrent enrollment issues

  • Suggest recommendations of concurrent enrollment course offerings

  • Serve as a coordinating entity between the high schools and UMD

  • Increase the understanding and collaboration among partners, stakeholders, the legislature, and the public

MN State Statute 124D.09, Subd. 10b. Overview of Concurrent Enrollment Advisory Board purpose, membership, duties.

Advisory Board - Membership

  • Board Membership
    • at least 16 members
    • a coordinator to chair and convene meetings (CITS program)
    • appointed by CITS, balance based on geography and school size

  • Members serve a 2-year, 3-year, or 4-year staggered term
    • Note your preference on survey form.
  • Meeting frequency
    • Two per year (one in Fall, one in Spring)
