CHAPTER 1: DANIEL RESISTS FALSE IDOLS
- Cyrus the Persia King questions the Prophet Daniel about why he wont worship the Babylon Gods. Daniel responds because they are false, and challenges the king to prove they are real.
- The King makes offerings to the Idols because he believes that the Gods come and eat the offering, but Daniel knows it is the Priests that sneak in. So Daniel leaves ashes on the floor of the temple so when the Priests sneak in at night they leave footprints.
- Then the King brings a dragon that they worship, and Daniel poison and the King becomes disheartened in his belief.
- The Babylonians are angry with Daniel and pressure the King into killing Daniel. So Daniel is thrown into a Lion’s Den. On the 7th day the King comes to mourn Daniel but finds him to be still alive. The King then lifts him out and throws his accusers into the den and they were devoured.
