    • Availability: An emergency pilot program of $500 million dollars for COVID-19 related rural development.
    • Eligibility: Municipalities with less than 20,000 residents.

  • Emergency Food and Shelter Program
    • Availability: The ARP Provides $400 million to FEMA to supplement and expand this grant program which provides shelter, food, and supportive services to individuals, families, and households suffering from economic related emergencies.
    • Eligibility: Local agencies who provide these services.
    • Expiration of Funds: 9/30/25
  • Firefighters Grants and Shelters Program
    • Availability: Provides $300 million through two existing firefighter grant programs to obtain needed equipment and assist in staffing.
    • Eligibility: Local fire departments.

    • Availability: The Rescue Plan provides funds to cover up to 100% of the costs of general administrative expenses, operating costs, and programs to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the pandemic.
    • Eligibility: Arts organizations of all sizes, complementary to the Shuttered Venues SBA program.

  • COVID-19 Humanities Relief Fund
    • Availability: Same as above.
    • Eligibility: cultural organizations of all sizes including museums, libraries, historic sites, archives, and educational institutions.

    • Availability: The Rescue Plan provides $30.5 billion to assist public transit agencies in avoiding layoffs and service reductions.

    • Availability: The Rescue Plan provides $200 million for expenses for museums and libraries to carry out services with an emphasis on augmenting digital programming and digital skill-building for patrons.
