What Are Giraffes Predators And How Do They Protect Themselves

Giraffes Predators are Lions, Leopards and Hyenas.

Lions are the primary predators of Giraffes. Lions use the strength of their whole pride to catch their victim, but giraffes are also preyed upon by Leopards and Hyenas.

Giraffes protect themselves by kicking with either the fore or hind feet. Their large and heavy hooves can break the back of a lion. This makes them less able to keep watch for predators while feeding.
