Problem

The problem at hand is working to find a more concise and easier way to prepare for each day at Bayside Brews & Scoops. The current process involves looking up the weather each day, deciding on what products to focus on depending on the weather, staffing, and potential promotional messages. This all takes time and can become tedious when having to be done each day before the shop even opens.

Solution

The solution to the problem is to create a workflow with the help of Zapier to take care of all of these steps automatically each day. By doing so this alleviates some of the monotonous day to day tasks. This creates more time for more important things such as client interactions to help increase business and appearance.

What worked well:

  • Each step of the workflow works well and is able to communicate to complete the task needing to be done.

What I would improve if I had more time and tools

  • I would work to add steps to maybe connect staffing schedule so that based on staffing availability and weather they could be emailed about potential shift opportunities.
