Evaluation: Technical
Cayenne LPP most effective for message packing
EMCON operational through both remote control and on-board pushbutton
Good sleep patterns out-of-the box
Data integration application relatively simple to implement, no observed package losses
ChirpStack simple to interface through pre-defined MQTT topics
Most of the software frameworks can be used in future versions
Hardware is most likely going to be specialized and purpose-built

The good bits: “Something I’ve really missed as a platoon commander is a live feed of the foot-mobile infantry whenever they were out, where I’ve had to receive a GPS position from the foot-mobile team leader and plot that manually. So if I as platoon commander have had access to this data in a live feed, then it would have built an incredible SA at platoon, company, and battalion level. It would have been insane amounts of time saved. [...] for contact situations, I think we would have saved, my guess, half an hour.” - INF3
“[...] here you get the information directly. Such as MEDEVAC can be executed, you know where they are, if you need fire support then you can add that directly, because you know where they are, direction, distance, everything you need” – INF1
“I also think it is good to be provided with information regarding their state, such as if they are physically exhausted, unhealthy, or healthy, as long as you know what those terms means” – INF2
