6 Word Memoir Exchange

Each staff member will post their mason jar in a VISIBLE and EASILY accessible location in their classroom.

Throughout August Staff Days, your task is to write a 6 word memoir for each person in your grade level.

On Tuesday, we’ll close August Staff Days by reflecting on the amazing things our colleagues already see in us.

Project Slice Overview

Telling stories is the best way to bring people together. Our goals on the first day of a new school year are to get connected with each other and learn about the community we serve. We’re going to slow down and first learn about the places that have shaped US by…

  • Interviewing a colleague
  • Using your own unique gifts and talents to create an artistic representation of your interview with your partner

We’re going to share these representations at our first Community Meeting of the year in which we’ll get to introduce each other (for instance, if Roney interviews Hannah, he’ll be the one to introduce her during the community meeting!)

Now that we’ve got a good idea of what we’re working toward, it’s time for us to get prepared to execute!

The first thing we’ve got to do is talk to each other, so you’re going to take some time to think through what you might want to share during your interviews.
