Why should visitors love our town?
Târgoviște City
Targoviste is the municipality of residence of Dambovita County, Muntenia, Romania. It represents the main economic, cultural, political and administrative center of Dambovita County.
The city of Targoviste already has many cultural objectives that attract tourists like a magnet. Those who visit the former medieval capital can go to the Zoo, open near the place where the first animal garden in Romania operated.
Then, the numerous institutions dedicated to local and national history: the Museum of Dambovita Writers, the Museum of Romanian Printing and Books, the Museum of History and the Museum of Communism where the Ceausescu was shot.
Chindia Park and Zoo
Targoviste Zoo is located on the north side of the largest park in the city, Chindia Park, in the immediate vicinity of the Curtea Domneasca Museum Complex and the Chindia Tower.�
Chindia Park was arranged in 1970, on the meadow of the Ialomita River, on the site of the former Royal Garden.�The park "Chindia" is located in the vicinity of the river Ialomita and includes mostly green spaces, an artificial lake for recreation, a complex of tennis courts and a zoo.�
The metropolitan park
Located in the city center, the Metropolitan Park is one of the most romantic meeting and relaxation places, with artesian wells, promenades, modern street furniture and children's playground. The park houses ,the bust of Tudor Vladimirescu, the leader of the Revolution of 1821, the bust of Mother Smara, as well as the ruins of the old chapel of the Metropolitan Church.�
The Swimming Complex
Swimming Complex intends to increase the attractiveness of the old capital of Wallachia among tourists, by offering a wide range of tourist services for relaxation and relaxation (swimming, mini-football, tennis, basketball, tourist fairs, tourist events).
The activities that will lead to the fulfillment of the specific objectives in this project are represented by the construction of the following tourist infrastructures:
- The swimming pool includes a landscaped beach, sun loungers, parasols for relaxation, and swimming pools and water slides.

This investment objective intends for all categories of tourists, as well as for the inhabitants of Targoviste.
The skate park
It is a relaxing space with many facilities, including skate and fitness equipment, generous green spaces, with an area of over 3000 square meters, a picnic area, but also smart benches, with wi-fi and mobile device charging features.
Various elements will be placed, which allow the realization of a wide range of activities: bars, skate elements such as quarter pipe, halfpipe, spines, etc. At the same time, the park will be equipped with a complex of traction bars such as "Fitness Urban" and "Street Workout", benefiting from other facilities for rest and recreation.
C.S.S. Targoviste
C.S.S. Targoviste is the only school sports club in the country that has obtained Erasmus + accreditation, the project is an opportunity to improve educational services by participating a number of 21 athletes and 7 teachers annually in training courses, Job Shadowing activities and mobility for students.
It offers a wide range of sports such as athletics, basketball, football, handball, judo, wrestling and volleyball.

OUR SCHOOL
"Ion Ghica" Targoviste Economic College, founded in 1923 is dedicated to the personal and professional development of students in quality conditions of the educational process, ensuring them equal opportunities for socio-professional integration and lifelong learning in the Romanian and European space.

PHYSICAL HEALTH
Even though our high school is mostly focused on personal and professional development, we always seek to include sports and relaxing activities in our schedule.
Thanks to the efforts of previous teachers and students, we were able to purchase the necessary equipment for carrying out the sports activity in good conditions. In this regard, table tennis competitions are organized weekly, which end with the awarding of prizes and diplomas at the school level. We are looking forward to taking part in many more sports competitions, much needed for both the students and the teachers.
PHYSICAL HEALTH
Our school is provided with a handball and basketball court, where we, the students, participate in outdoor sports classes. Inside our gym, we usually play basketball, volleyball, and table tennis. All sports activities performed indoors and outdoors, not only help us improve our physical condition, but they help us develop qualities and motor skills so necessary in everyday life as well.
Through the performance of the teachers, we have, in our school, numerous students selected at the national police schools, who are going through a very important sports test, taking advantage of their skills.
