Piglet and Georgie’s Kindness Club
Piglet, the deaf blind pink puppy
Piglet’s dog family understands and accepts that he is a little bit different from them. Piglet feels confident because he is always included when the other dogs play, take walks, travel, and do tricks. They are extra gentle and kind when he gets wild and accidentally bumps into them, even when they are startled. They help him to live his best life despite his many disabilities and challenges!Video of Gina and the other dogs playing with Piglet in the backyard. HERE
Acceptance, Inclusion, Empathy, and Kindness
Acceptance Piglet’s dog pack members accept him for who he is. They know he is different. When he bumps into them, they understand that he is not intentionally trying to hurt them. Piglet Bumping into Annie video HERE
InclusionPiglet’s dog pack members include him in their routines, games and playtime. They support him by going over to him to engage in the game. They recognize that he isn’t always able to locate them. Susie plays extra gently with Piglet. Zoey is much rougher, but she is also aware and considerate of Piglet’s disabilities. Piglet participates in the Special K9 Games in Columbus, Ohio where dogs with disabilities get the chance to experience an agility event designed especially for their success.

Discussion Questions:
How does Piglet’s family keep him safe and comfortable?
Given Piglet’s disabilities, what are some differences between the way Piglet’s family (humans and dogs) cares for and includes Piglet vs the other dogs?
Piglet’s original Inclusion Pack!
What are some similarities between the way Piglet’s dog family accept and include him and the way children do the same for their classmates and friends who have disabilities, look different, and have their own unique learning styles.
Changes in Piglet and Georgie’s Kindness Club
We are very sorry to report that we lost our sweet little Susie on April 3, 2021. She was 16 years old and very sick from kidney failure. Susie had an amazing, beautiful, long life with our family. We will always love her and miss her.
On January 8, 2022, Piglet and his family adopted an adorable, smart, friendly, and very funny terrier mix named Lucy. She was injured when she was a stray dog and was rescued after getting hit by a car and breaking bones in both of her back feet. You can learn more about Lucy in our newly added PowerPoint called Piglet Gets a New Sister!

We are also very sorry to report that we lost our Beautiful Gina on April 2, 2025. She was 14 ½ years old and like Susie, very sick from kidney failure. Gina had a wonderful long life of love with our family. We will always love her and miss her.

On Jan. 6, 2023, Piglet’s family adopted another deaf blind puppy. His name is Georgie. Piglet’s Inclusion Pack used their magic to welcome Georgie and make him feel included just like they’ve done with Piglet and each other. Lucy was especially helpful to little Georgie, just like Susie was for Piglet when he was a baby. You can learn more about Georgie in our newly added PowerPoint Piglet Gets a Baby Brother. You can also find him on Instagram, @georgieforfun.
Notice that Georgie’s name is included in Piglet and Georgie’s Kindness Club.
Any ideas why Georgie has a title role in the kindness club?

On June 28, 2025, Piglet’s family adopted a deaf Aussie puppy. Her name is Betty B White. The B stands for Beautiful, because she is beautiful like our Gina was. She is a double merle dog like Piglet, Georgie, and Gina. She can see but her pretty blue eyes are very abnormal.
Piglet and the other dogs were a little more reserved in welcoming Baby Betty because she is a very large puppy and can be overbearing at times. She was very young when she was adopted, she still had her pointy sharp baby teeth, which she used to playfully nip at her new siblings. This is normal puppy behavior, but the little dogs didn’t appreciate it.
Georgie is the one who to play with Betty first, even though he is so tiny. Piglet likes Betty but is waiting for her to get over her puppy phase. Lucy is also very interested in being Betty’s good friend.
