Arrival Information

  • Students should arrive no earlier than 8:40 a.m. The first bell rings at 8:45 a.m.
  • When students arrive, they should line up with their class. Please see the attached map for your child’s line up area.
  • Please remember that NO DOGS are allowed on school property when students are present.

Traffic Reminders

  • If you use the Kiss and GO areas, please use the side of the building that is closest to your child’s line up area.
  • Please always follow traffic safety laws.
  • Drive carefully and slowly.
  • Please DO NOT park or get out of your cars in the Kiss and Go lines.

Dismissal Information

  • Students will dismiss in the same areas as they line up.
  • During this time, we ask students and families to leave school grounds immediately.
  • Please remember that NO DOGS are allowed on school property when students are present.

A note about Dogs

We are dog lovers here at Washington..BUT many of our students are scared of dogs and/or have allergies. Therefore we kindly ask you NOT to bring your dog to arrival or pick up. Thank you!

Crosswalks

During arrival and departure both Western Avenue and Stewart become very congested. Therefore please ALWAYS use the crosswalks when crossing the street.

1. Student Pick up and Drop Off

(Kiss and Go)

Kiss and Go is NOT a parking zone. You should not leave your car. Please drop off or pick up your students and leave immediately.

No double parking at ANY Time!

2. Parking: Please look at the street signs on the surrounding streets to see where you are permitted to park. Please Note: There is NO PARKING or drop off and pickup allowed in the Staff Parking Lots during arrival and departure.

3. Bus Lane Stewart Avenue, directly in front of the school, is closed to all through traffic and parking. This is where our buses pick up and drop off students.

4. Walkers All walkers need to Cross at crosswalk.
