Nearpod Step-by-Step Guide
You can view this presentation in Google Slides to learn and get information. At the end I will have a sample presentation for you to view as a student and see the different slides in action.

Get the Nearpod Add-On
You only have to do this process once. After it is installed, you just need to click on Add-ons and select Nearpod.
Nearpod Interactive Slides
Audio Slide
To add audio to a slide you need to have a pre-recorded audio file that you can upload.
BBC Video Slide
Add a video by searching through BBC Worldwide
Collaborate Slide
Allow students to see each other’s responses in real time
Draw It Slide
Students can draw on a white background or you can choose an image for them to draw/interact with
Draw It Slide
You can add an image, video, PDF, audio file, website, or audio recording to a Draw It slide
Field Trip Slide
Search for a place that you would like your students to “visit”
Flocabulary Slide
Search for videos to share with your students
Fill in the Blanks Slide
Create a fill in the blank for your students to complete
Flipgrid Slide
If you have a Flipgrid account, you can link your URL to allow students to create a Flipgrid video

Sway allows you to share interactive class materials, presentations, newsletters, and more
*you can only create a new sway with Microsoft

Ask your students questions in a timed/game format
Add images to question or answers

Add a video from YouTube or upload one from your computer or Google Drive
Web Content Slide
Add a website that you would like for students to view

Editing Slides
Once you have created a Nearpod slide in your presentation, you can always go back and edit the slide by clicking on Edit This Slide in the bottom right corner.

When you have finished creating your presentation and you are ready to share it with your students, you will need to click on the Save & Go to Nearpod button in the bottom right corner

Now you are in your Nearpod account. You can see all of the Nearpod presentations you have created.

When you put your mouse over the presentation you want to share, these options will show.
Live lesson - usually done in the classroom
Student-Paced - students can go through the lesson at their own pace

In Student-Paced mode, you have the following ways to share the presentation with your students

From your Nearpod dashboard, click on Student-Paced and you can see your active sessions
Viewing Student Responses
From your Nearpod dashboard, scroll down on the left side and click on Reports
Click on the session that you want to review and you will be able to see which students responded, as well as, their answers.
