intentions and invitations

  • I invite us to listen with all of our senses with a sense of play. The more we pay attention, the more we see order, clear messages, patterns, and invitations in the small or seemingly random things that happen here.
  • I invite us to recognise each other as whole people, not as singular identities, but as ecosystems, embracing the ambiguity of our own edges, and the permission for all of us to be blurry too.
  • I invite us to embrace the vulnerability of uncertainty & ambiguity, open to the possibility that this may be messy at times. And when it does get messy, I invite us to let go of that impulse to fix it or make sense of it right away, and just sit with the messiness, seeing what emerges from there.

your “heart-quarter” (HQ) is your home-base (at the moment).

map your “HQ” in your world.

how much time & space does this occupy in your world right now?

how does it feel right now?does it feel safe?

map your “care-giving” spaces

where all are you asked to offer care right now? what do you “care for”?

what would you like to offer care to, even if you aren’t able to at the moment?

map your “care-giving”.

how far is it from the HQ? draw its proximity accordingly.

how much time+space+energy does that occupy? make roads to that from your HQ accordingly.

step 6

let’s add details

what else is occupying your time+space+energy?

map these things too.

for example,

think of what is blossoming, fulfilling, flourishing through it all. make 🌳🌻🌴🌸🌼s around it to indicate that.

think of what is blocking, triggering you. make 💣▉s around it to indicate that.

think of the interconnectedness and mutual care. make ↔↕s around it to indicate that.

let’s add (more) details

let’s also think about what guides you for a second.

map these things too.

think of what your guiding values are. make billboards to show them.

think of what is important. make 🌟🚩s to indicate that.

think of what is urgent. make 🚨⚡s around it to indicate that.

breathe.

take it in.

take a look at your map.

if this were a design project, say a city you were replanning - what would you say it needs?

think about care(as seen in your map)

what stands out to you?

where does it (you) feel too full?

what else does it (you) need?

what can help you lean into the discomfort?

what needs some holding & attention, so you can carry on?

what are you grateful for?

where can you offer more?

Miro tips

Click the Sticky Note icon on the toolbar or press N on your keyboard. You can also add a sticky note by dragging and dropping it right from the toolbar or by clicking the board and dragging your cursor holding the left mouse button.

To add text to your sticky note, double-click it or select and press Enter. The limit of symbols is about 3,000 per sticky note depending on the text size.

Select Frame on the toolbar or press F on your keyboard and click anywhere on the board or drag the cursor.

Easily create frames around existing objects: select the objects and choose Create frame on the context menu.

To rename a frame, double-click its heading or choose the option on the frame context menu.

To resize an existing frame, simply select it (by clicking its border or title) and drag its borders adjusting the frame to the needed size. You can also change the frame's ratio on the context menu.
