Hi everyone, I’m Tony Guerry with Gallery 21 Photography, and I’m thrilled to be at Epiphany Gallery among such incredible talent and supporters of the arts.

My recent photography story started when I photographed my kids sports. Looking back on those images and the camera I used, I chuckle. I still love to shoot sports and I am still looking for my Sports Illustrated cover shot! Since Covid, I have assembled a home studio with multiple backgrounds and around 6 OCF (Off Camera Flash) strobes/stands to capture headshots for friends, model agencies talent and even singer/song writers! I also give friends and new models a cool photo shoot location that is indoors and out of the Texas heat. Recently, I moved to the outdoors, shooting natural light Photo Walks with models and I found out this is a passion of mine now. I have even photographed USA ICON Miss Dallas 2025, and an American Idol contestant!

Recently, my life partner, a great painter, Kay, and I have been taking trips to scenic locations in the United States and of course, I take my camera. This event is themed for two of those trips to National and State Parks in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Canada, Nevada, Utah and Arizona.

My theme for this gallery showing is Naturescapes, a term a great brother-in-law once used to describe these types of shoots.

As the signature piece in this gallery, called Golden Drift at Dusk, I want to share with you this photograph taken at Whitefish Lake in Montana. Kay and I pulled into this State Park late one evening and it was one of those moments where nature completely takes your breath away.

The sun was just beginning to dip behind the mountains, casting these warm, golden tones across the water — and this old driftwood log felt like a sculpture rising from the lake.

To me, this photo is about stillness and strength — the power of nature in its quietest form. I’ve always loved the way light and shadow play across a scene, and I try to capture that in a way that pulls you in and lets you feel the calm, the depth, and the solitude.

I approach photography by looking for emotion, movement, and shape. This is one of those moments I just had to freeze, and I’m so glad to share it with you.

I hope that you enjoy my Naturescape photos just as much as I do. Thank you for coming to the Epiphany Gallery and Have A Great Day!!

Golden Drift at Dusk

Whitefish Lake, Montana36” x 24” Metal Print$445 - Various Sizes Available

This photograph captures a dramatic sunset over a tranquil body of water, with dark, silhouetted hills in the background. There is an interplay of light and shadow which makes me gasp in wonder. The sky is filled with textured clouds that diffuse the setting sun's intense light, casting rich golden and orange tones across the scene. What really captured my eye is the prominent piece of driftwood partially submerged in the water foreground. It creates striking reflections and adds a natural, rugged element to the composition. I believe the overall mood conveys a sense of calm and introspection.

Grand Prismatic SpringYellowstone National Park - Wyoming24” x 16” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

What a mesmerizing geothermal hot spring characterized by vibrant and contrasting colors! My eye is drawn in by the foregrounds cracked, textured surface, transitioning into a striking ring of golden yellow and vivid orange hues. Further in is the cooler color of the deep turquoise pool that emits a delicate mist, creating an ethereal effect. All set against a backdrop of snow-dusted pine trees and a clear blue sky with wispy clouds, adding to the delicate balance, depth and tranquility of the scene. I could gaze into this composition endlessly and feel my soul relax.

Maskinonge Wetlands Waterton Lakes National Park - Alberta, Canada24” x 16” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

At my first look, I thought about removing the wetlands in the foreground, but this grassy area transitioning into various patches of water with small islands of land is vital to appreciating the magnificence of the scene. This is where life thrives from the smallest of creatures to those that soar through the skies. The background is dominated by a majestic range of towering mountains with rugged, snow-covered peaks set against a clear blue sky with scattered clouds. I love the earthy tones of the grass and land against the cool blues of the water and sky, emphasizing the grandeur.

This majestic mountain rises prominently against a clear blue sky, with rocky peaks partially covered in patches of snow. The surrounding dense evergreen forests surround the bare rock like a skirt. The rich natural colors highlight the contrast between the darker brownish foreground and the muted mountain terrain. This landscape captivated my attention with sharp details and balanced lighting. The hint of houses makes me wonder what my life might be like in this backyard. Don’t you?

Petrified Forest Painted DesertArizona24” x 16” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

This is but a small part of a vast expanse of rugged, layered hills and valleys formed by the erosion of the Triassic Chinle Formation, primarily composed of siltstone, mudstone, and shale. These fine-grained layers, rich in iron and manganese compounds, create the vibrant colors seen across the landscape. Imagine yourself walking the trail with this painted landscape towering above you. The terrain is cracked and rugged, accentuating the contours and textures of the land. There is a vivid contrast between the arid landforms and the serene sky above creating a composition that emphasizes the intricate details of the geological formations.

I am deeply moved by this towering, jagged red sandstone spire rising sharply from the rugged terrain, joined with a massive adjacent cliff face with layered textures. I can feel the weight of the large rocks that time has crumbled from the face of the wall. This red dramatic desert rock contrasts with the vibrant blue sky and fluffy clouds creating it’s own primary color wheel. The picture captures the raw, natural beauty and grandeur of the arid landscape, emphasizing the striking colors and intricate details of the rock surfaces and hinting at more rugged terrain beyond.

This is a vibrant desert landscape showcasing iconic sandstone buttes rising prominently from the flat terrain. There is great detail in the foreground consisting of reddish rocky earth, scattered with stones and sparse vegetation. I’ve contrasted that with the large, towering rock formations standing boldly against an expansive horizon. The striking sky painted with bright blue hues and large clouds is set apart yet cast shadows on the rugged beauty below blending the two in harmony. You can feel the openness and dramatic interplay of light, color, and texture.

I isolated this massive, flat-topped sandstone butte characterized by its rich reddish-brown hues from the desert floor landscape. This geological formation features vertical striations and a rugged texture that remind me of a sculpture in progress. Indeed, it is. Who knows how time and weather will chisel this rock next?

Bryce Canyon OverlookUtah24” x 16” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

My wife and I stood on the rim of this vast canyon with rugged, layered rock formations in rich shades of orange, red, and yellow. The canyon walls display intricate vertical striations and natural erosion patterns caused by heavy rainstorms as documented here. In fact, the storm passed just south of us but pelted us with small hail as it passed by. If you look closely you can see people along the rim and at the lookout on the highest peak on the left side. If you have time, you can walk into the canyon among these giants.

Natural BridgeBryce Canyon - Utah24” x 16” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

Within Bryce Canyon is this natural rock formation featuring a large arch carved out of soft sandstone. I feel in love with the way the arch frames a view of a densely forested valley below, creating a striking contrast between the rugged, textured rock and the lush green trees. The contrast between the weathered photo highlighting the raw beauty and intricate details of the geological structure.

Horseshoe BendArizona24” x 16” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

To get this shot, I had to step dangerously close to the rim. I confess my legs were wobbly, but I had to capture this striking deep blue river as it elegantly twists its way around a massive, rugged sandstone rock formation. Does anyone else see Jabba the Hut’s Face? There is a dynamic interplay of natural elements as the water moves around and carries away pieces of earth carving out the formation.

Upper Antelope CanyonArizona 16” x 24” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means 'the place where water runs through the rocks'. It’s like finding a pearl inside an oyster. The exterior rock is dull compared to the natural beauty of a narrow slot canyon with smooth, flowing rock formations in a series of rich, warm tones. Erosion carves intricate patterns where light filters down from the narrow opening above highlighting the textured layers and curved surfaces within. Antelope Canyon stirs something deep in my soul, like witnessing nature’s own cathedral.

White PocketArizona16” x 24” Metal Print$195 - Various Sizes Available

I couldn’t believe I walked all over this magnificent formation to get some up close views. If you peel back the white crust exterior seen in the far peak, you have a striking natural rock formation characterized by vivid, flowing layers of color. Each band is formed by the way mineral deposits interact in the sandstone. Iron oxides contribute to the red and orange hues, while other minerals like calcium carbonate and manganese create the white and yellow shades. The rock surface is smooth, with lines that sweep diagonally across the composition, creating a dynamic sense of movement and depth drawing you in. The overall effect is a powerful visual celebration of natural patterns and organic beauty.

This striking photograph captures the vibrant geothermal landscape at play with color and texture. There is smoothness and warm tones in the foreground that guide you into the bright mineral rich colors of orange, red and yellow bordering the vivid blue pool of water creating a stunning contrast. Translucent blue lace rises from the surface to create a curtain between the rugged rising tree and snow-covered mountain, but it won’t be contained. I can feel the dominance and power the mountain asserts as it reflects across the mist in the colored liquid.

Temple of Sinawava TrailZion National Park - Utah11” x 14” Metal Print$125 - Various Sizes Available

I can feel the warm sunlight as it bathes this towering, rugged cliff face. The textured surface displays a rich palette of earthy tones, from deep rust to soft ochre, contrasting with the brighter green foliage. Vertical striations emphasize the majestic height. In front of the cliff, a tall, slender tree with lush green foliage stands prominently, its white bark providing a striking contrast against the darker rock backdrop. The composition highlights the natural harmony between the solid, imposing rock formation and the delicate yet resilient tree beneath a brilliant blue sky dotted with wispy clouds.
