When a student is absent from school, RBUSD loses $68/day in state funding. Based on RBUSD’s enrollment and current daily absence rate of approximately 500 students, our general fund loses as much as $30,000 per week and millions of dollars per year! With significant impacts to staffing and programs.

Illnesses and other life circumstances are inevitable and completely understandable. However, we sincerely appreciate our students’ best efforts to attend school as consistently as possible. We also extend our gratitude to our RBUSD parents/guardians for communicating and supporting our attendance expectations.

Meet Our ELA Curriculum

  • For all K-5 students
  • Comprehensive reading and writing curriculum that builds students’ knowledge about the world through complex, grade level texts
  • For TK-3 students to build foundational reading skills
  • Includes phonics, high frequency words, handwriting, spelling,fluency and more

School Site Council

Open Parent Positions on School Site Council (SSC): We currently have three parent positions available on the SSC. This council is made up of five parents and five staff members, working together to influence decisions that affect our instructional program.

Role of the School Site Council (SSC): The SSC reviews our school safety plan and overall school plan, which addresses student needs and allocates resources to support the school’s goals. Membership lasts for two years, and parents vote for their representatives.

Next Steps for Participation: More information about the nomination and voting process will be sent out in the bulletin in the coming weeks.
