WHAT IS VCC?

The Venture Career Center is a satellite campus for Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) and Northwest Technical Institute (NWTI). Any student may enroll in the programs at no cost.

Students are still enrolled at their home zoned campus and will graduate from that campus.

  • Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or Friday 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (select Saturdays)

  • Fee - $10, pay online. An email confirmation of a required appointment will be shared.

  • Scratch paper and calculator are provided in the testing room.

  • A copy of your score will be provided to your counselor who will submit it to venture@adale.org

NWACC - Students interested in EMT or Practical Nursing must submit a qualifying score before registration.

NWTI - Rising 10th grade students may test in September at the Venture Career Center for $2 per test.

Venture Student Scenarios

Student 1

A HBHS student enrolls in the EMR program at the VENTURE CAREER CENTER.

Student arrives (drives or bus transportation) to DTSOI for morning EMR class.

Student leaves DTSOI after EMR and reports (car or bus) to HBHS campus for all other classes.

A SHS student enrolls in Industrial Maintenance at the VENTURE CAREER CENTER.

Student rides to morning classes at SHS and then reports to VCC for IM classes each afternoon.

Student ends day at VCC leaves VCC after school by car or bus.

The Accuplacer is only given at the NWACC - Bentonville campus. You are required to make an appointment for the exam.

  • It is offered Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (It is offered on select Saturdays)
  • The fee is $10, you must pay online. Once payment is received you will receive an email confirmation of your appointment. Seating is limited so same day appointments are not offered.
  • You will be given scratch paper in the testing room and a calculator is built into the test. Students may not bring their own materials.
  • There is not a time limit.
  • Once you complete the exam you will provide a copy of your score to your counselor. Your counselor will submit them to venture@adale.org by May 17th.
