Group 1
We want to re-define what it means to be young and black. We want to leave our mar on the world through our own visions and creativity. Respect should not be restricted due to my color; however, it should embrace by all for the equality of the human race. It is okay to be different. Our testimonies are built from our own paths and experiences in life.
Group 2
We are the students and community of the people. We are the ones.
We are here to learn, to be a part of a community, to earn our diplomas, and to be what we want to be when we get older.
We will be college scholars, well-paid employees, and family members.
We want to re-define what it means to be young and black, to show we are more than mature enough to succeed. We want to leave our mark on the world through our own visions and creativity. Respect should not be restricted due to my color; however, it should embraced by all for the equality of the human race. It is okay to be different. Our testimonies are built from our own paths and experiences in life.
Being young and black means that we have to work hard; we have to survive. We are brothers and sisters, the students and community of the people. We are here to learn, to be a part of a community, to earn our diplomas, and to be what we want to be when we get older. We are strong, we are the face of the future, and we are here to prove them wrong.
