Students will use technology on a daily basis and are expected to abide by this technology use policy.
Students are expected to follow this Emerson plagiarism policy.

Students will have classroom access to Chromebooks. Personal devices may be used for educational purposes with teachers’ permission - please ask first before using!

A key component of the AVID program is helping students learn about college and careers through real-life experiences.
Each year AVID students will visit local colleges. Parents are highly encouraged to attend! I also love other educational trips - let me know if you have any ideas or are willing to help coordinate!
AVID students greatly benefit from hearing career and education stories - parents, please volunteer to share your path with us! Just email me or use this Google form and let me know your availability.
Evaluation:
I will enter grades on School Loop approximately bi-weekly. Students will bring Weekly Progress Reports home on THURSDAY nights - please review/sign. Tutorials are every Tu/Th. Cornell notes are due weekly. Please pay most attention to ZEROS and the grade trends. Grades will fluctuate - almost everything can be improved on with extra effort. I’m available most days at lunch/after school for those who want to talk.
