Individual

Determination

A key component of the AVID program is helping students learn about college and careers through real-life experiences.

Each year AVID students will visit local colleges. Parents are highly encouraged to attend! I also love other educational trips - let me know if you have any ideas or are willing to help coordinate!

AVID students greatly benefit from hearing career and education stories - parents, please volunteer to share your path with us! Just email me or use this Google form and let me know your availability.

Evaluation:

I will enter grades on School Loop approximately bi-weekly. Students will bring Weekly Progress Reports home on THURSDAY nights - please review/sign. Tutorials are every Tu/Th. Cornell notes are due weekly. Please pay most attention to ZEROS and the grade trends. Grades will fluctuate - almost everything can be improved on with extra effort. I’m available most days at lunch/after school for those who want to talk.
