How to get a STARs account set up

If your district/charter Equity Council Lead does not have a STARS account:

Once this form is completed, the Equity Council Program Manager will work internally to create your STARs account and will email you with instructions once completed.

Please allow up to two weeks for this process to be completed.

District Section Information

The District section found at the top of each LEAs displays the following:

  • LEA Name
  • Internal District Code
  • District Type (District, District Charter, or State Charter)
  • Superintendent/Charter Director Name
  • Superintendent/Charter Director Email Address
  • Identified Equity Council Lead
  • Equity Council Lead Email Address

The information in this section is inputted internally.

Equity Council Lead Contact Information Update

Please ensure that the NMPED has the correct contact information for the District or Charter Equity Council Lead as designated by the Superintendent or Charter School Leader.

Equity Council Members Section

The Equity Council Members section is an area for the Equity Council Lead to list each Equity Council Member, member term, member representation, and which at-risk group(s) each member represents.

  • To add a member click on “Add Equity Council member.”
  • To delete a member or update member information click on the member box on the left side of member’s name.

Martinez/Yazzie Readiness Assessment Section

The Martinez/Yazzie Readiness Assessment (4) part section consists of rating statements on the state’s “at-risk” students for each district and charter school:

​

1. Serving English Learners

2. Serving Native American Students

3. Serving Students with Disabilities

4. Martinez/Yazzie Readiness Assessment Submitted Status

Input the required content in each section using the Likert Rating Scale and don’t forget to save your information at the end of each section. Once completed click on “Submit Your Martinez/Yazzie Readiness Assessment.”

Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Framework Inventory Section

The Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Framework Inventory (4) part stages each consist of learning and essential questions for each district and charter school to determine which CLR components may need more focus and/or intentionality.

  3. CLR - Stage 2
  4. CLR - Stage 3
  5. CLR - Stage 4

Don’t forget to save your information at the end of each section. Once completed click on “Submit your CLR Inventory.”

5. Go back to the “Upload Visual Representation and Description of the CLR Framework” section and click on your attachment’s name.

6. Click on the dropdown arrow and press submit, then press save.

Upload Equity Council Advisements

  1. Click “Upload Equity Council Advisements.”
  2. Click on “Attach File” and upload your school/district's Equity Council Advisement in PDF form.
  3. Add a title to the document - please make sure that you add your school or district’s name in the title.
  4. Click on the “School Year” dropdown box and add the correct school year for the advisement.
  5. Click on “Save.”
