Nicolaus Copernicus was one of 3 scientist the discovered the Earth was not flat but a sphere. The other scientist names are Galileo and Aristotle this scientist provided something that no one would, until they send a rocket to space. Nicolaus had no kids but had brothers and sisters. THE GEOCENTRIC THEORY

This diagram shows that the universe back in the BC was believed as their universe, but over the time it changed. In this diagram the Earth is in the middle and the sun is the third planet in the solar system. Over time there was a new universe that involved the Earth being the third planet, the Sun being in the middle and Mercury as the first planet. This was made by a scientist called Aristotle. Later on there was a knew theory called the heliocentric theory.

THE HELIOCENTRIC THEORY

The heliocentric theory is the solar system we know now. The heliocentric theory has the Sun and Earth swapped and this time the moon is not on the orbit lines but is in the Earths orbit lines. This very day we know our solar system like this and probably always will. Thanks to Nicolaus and Galileo we can believe that this is our solar system.
