Our History

2012: MakeICT was born in a coffee shop, where

we held meetings and brainstormed.

2013: MakeICT moved into the Bluebird Arthouse.

2014: We received federal 501(c)(3) status and $116,000 in grants.

2015: We moved to the Douglas location with 100 members.

2019: We achieved over 400 membership.

2020: We opened our new building (here) with room for over 800 members.

Tool Authorization

Required authorization classes are required for all areas prior to use. Free for members, $20 for non-members.

Additional required classes for specific tools, class fees apply (Partial List):

What if you break something?

  • Don’t sweep it under the rug or hide it.
  • Let the area lead know immediately.
  • Post it on the forum so others don’t make a 2hr drive for a broken tool.
  • Put a lock out/tag out on the tool if necessary.
  • Understand that it is not the end of the world, we are known for fixing stuff.
