• Dual enrollment professors vary in quality
• Difficult to find industry partners for WBL activities
• Non-renewable grants make it hard to sustain staffing and program over time
• Need to improve process of academic progress monitoring with tech and systems

DATA TRENDS: College enrollment is up

DATA TRENDS: FAFSA submission is down

• New FAFSA was supposed to be simpler, but late release and tech glitches have complicated submission
• FAFSA applications are down 40% nationally.
• Our current FAFSA submission rate at LCPS is about 60% (down from 80%)
• Next steps:
• CADAA for mixed-status families
• Ongoing support for students and families as FSA fixes FAFSA
• Help students make college choices based on FAFSA estimates

College Decisions 2024

• College decisions are in!
• We are still tracking the data and students are still working through decisions
• Initial data shows approximately 80% of students at Lighthouse and 70% of students at Lodestar accepted to 4-year colleges
