DATA TRENDS: FAFSA submission is down

  • New FAFSA was supposed to be simpler, but late release and tech glitches have complicated submission
  • FAFSA applications are down 40% nationally.
  • Our current FAFSA submission rate at LCPS is about 60% (down from 80%)
  • Next steps:
    • CADAA for mixed-status families
    • Ongoing support for students and families as FSA fixes FAFSA
    • Help students make college choices based on FAFSA estimates
