-An American punk rock band that formed in 1987

-vocalist- Billy Joe Armstrong Bassist backing vocalist- Mike Dirnt Drummer- Tre Cool guitarist/backing vocalist- Jason White

-Third album (Dookie) was what made Green day successful, followed by American Idiot, that became extremely popular with our generation today

-Their latest albums are Uno!, Dos!, and Tre!

About Dookie

- Third album they Green Day made, it was realeased on Feburary 1st, 1994 through Reprise Records.

- This album really helped Green Day become successful, and it worked, they were #2 on the U.S billboard 2000.

- It was the band's best selling album, made it onto the list of "500 Greatest Albums of all Time"

About American Idiot

-7th album by Green day

-realeased September 21st, 2004

-has sold over 14 million copies worldwide

-many songs on this album has received Platinum certification by the RIAA, such as "American Idiot", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", "Holiday", and "Wake Me Up When September Ends"

About 21st Century Breakdown

- Their eighth studio album, this album was started being made by Billy Joe Armstrong in 2006, which him writing 45 songs, but they finally started producing it in the studio in January 2008.

-Released May 15th, 2009, their successful songs in this album was "Know Your Enemy" and "21 Guns".

-acheived onto "Billboard 200" "European Top 100 Album" and "52nd Grammy Awards" for best rock album.

-Sold more than 4 million copies world wide.

My Opinion

- In my personal opinion, I believe that American Idiot was the best. I really like Dookie, and 21st century breakdown but I believe American Idiot has more of my music style, And a lot of the songs relate to me. My favorite songs from the album are "Give Me Novacaine" and "Jesus of Suburbia"

-What I like about the album most is that it tells a story throughout songs and music.

Fans Opinions/ Statistics

In order for me to answer this question as best as possible, I ended up first comparing Dookie and American Idiot first on different websites.

-In one page on Yahoo answers, 5 out of 8 answers said Dookie.

-In another page, statistics said that 35.16% say American Idiot, 48.92% say Dookie and 15.92% say other.

-Based on this, I can so far say that fans believe that Dookie is the better album, now to compare it with 21st century breakdown.

- After reading that fans prefer Dookie over American Idiot, I tried to see if fans prefered Dookie or 21st Century Breakdown.

- I couldn't find many articles on this, but with what I found, both articles agreed that Dookie was hands down better, because of the style of the old Green Day.

- With that, based on statistics and some of the fan's opinions, Dookie was the best album compared to American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown.
