NCHSAA RULES

Student Athletes must do the following before trying out for sports at a NCHSAA High School:

1- Have an updated Physical

2- Have their FamilyID Registration completed.

3- Passed 70% of Previous Semesters Classes (If your child attends Nesbitt Academy or the Virtual Acadamy, please have them email me their Semester 1 F1 Grades.)

4- Must be on track to advance to the next grade level or graduate within the next calendar year.

5- Any student who has 13.5 School Day Absences or more will be subject to an appeal to the NCHSAA Board of Directors.

BCS Attendance Requirement

  • Athletes must attend one half of the school day (2 classes) to be eligible to practice or play.
  • BCS Rules : Students in semester-long courses may have only a maximum of seven (7) absences per semester/class.
  • Thirteen (13) for year-long courses.

Health and Injury Concerns

We are lucky to have Wyatt Little (Or any AT here at NBHS) with us every day. We ask you to have your student athlete see them if they are injured while playing sports here at NBHS. They can provide guidance through the injury and help you find the help you may need.

  • Parents always have the right to choose the health provider for their child.
  • HIPAA - Prohibits unauthorized release of info concerning the health or medical status of athletes.

Player Penalty(ies) for Ejections

  • Scrimmage - Suspended from the remainder of the scrimmage.
  • Contest - First Offense - Remainder of contest and one additional contest at that level of play.

  • Contest - Third Offense - Remainder of the contest and suspended for one calendar year.

  • Current NBHS Policy: The 24-hour rule should be used in all cases when dealing with an issue between coach/parent/player.

How Much: 50 dollars - with a chance to win a grand prize up to 2,000 dollars. 2nd place prize up to 1,000 dollars, 3rd place prize up to 500 dollars. Prize amount is determined by the total number of tickets sold.
