Defining Project Management

It is: a process that involves multiple phases.

  • Five key phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure.
  • Examples: capital project (facilities, commercial buildings), events (orientation, adventure outing trip), learning and development (GPTs).

It is not: a single task or a randomized list of tasks.

  • Non-examples: your to do list, attending a meeting, brainstorming ideas

Microsoft Planner - Case Use: GPTs

We will be creating custom FDEV GPTs.

Each individual is assigned an FDEV GPT below.

1) Complete: "1 - GPT Access & Research" bucket before beginning this work.

2) Determine: the best information translation strategy for moving content from the FDEV website to a document format that you can input/upload to the GPT and start inputting/uploading data.

3) Team: Discuss progress, test the GPT, determine an integration strategy for faculty to access the GPT and use it.
